Why Steve Jobs Didn't Have a License Plate?

What do you know about Steve Jobs, the legendary co-founder of Apple, who created one of the greatest gadgets of our time? Turns out, he was a man of mystery, and in the most literal sense of the word.  Just think about it, he'd been driving a car around Silicon Valley without a license plate for years on end! That meant breaking the law, which requires all passenger vehicles to have tags. Every tech enthusiast knows what Steve Jobs' favourite outfit was especially for launching a product. Besides his signature black turtleneck, New Balance sneakers, and blue jeans, the Apple founder also had a silver Mercedes SL55 AMG. Jobs drove his SL55 AMG without a registration number and how he managed to do that without breaking the law is pure genius. Like his company's slogan, Jobs also thinks different and discovered a legal way to drive without the number plate. Jobs' SL55 AMG was snapped many times, but the car was always registration plate free. Everyone will be now wondering how he managed to do it? Or as a famous person did he obtain a special permit? Steve Jobs discovered a loophole in the California vehicle laws and, i.e., anyone who buys a brand new car had a maximum of six months to affix the issued number plate to the vehicle. So Jobs made an arrangement with the leasing company that he would always change cars during the sixth month of the lease. And when the rental period expires he exchanges his silver Mercedes SL55 AMG for another identical one. So we can assume that the leasing company was happy because they had an endless supply of SL55 AMG to on-sell with the previous driver being none other than Steve Jobs.
